Since then, as her sole owners, we have cruised her exclusively in the southwest regions of Lake Erie, including the islands. (Having a 4’4” draft is great.) She has never had a hard stop of any kind on her winged keel nor her hull, and she has never been raced. Her upgrades over the years have been many and modest, all of which add to the safety and pleasure of her captain and crew.

We first saw her at Cleveland Boat Show in February 2002 where she was on display. After many long agonizing changes of heart from “can we afford this” to “I hope no one else buys her”, we bought her. I hope you are experiencing those two emotions now.

Her model year was 2001, her hull number was 144 and she was ours. We named her WALKABOAT and she was professionally commissioned and launched later that spring.
